9:57 a.m. – A caller from Fuller Road reported vandalism to his pontoon boat on July 4. Parts of the boat, which was in the water, had been broken, and debris left on board. A paddle board had been taken but was recovered, although the paddle was missing.
12:41 p.m. – Camp counselors from the Town Beach called in to report that a male party was taking pictures of people and refusing to delete them. Parties were advised of rules regarding privacy in public locations.
3:15 p.m. – A resident of Cutting Cross Way called 911 out of concern about someone coming to his door stating they were with the census bureau.
Tuesday, July 7
9:38 a.m. – A two-car motor vehicle accident was called in by 911; the accident occurred at West Plain Street and Pemberton Road. Both cars were towed and one person was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
5:08 p.m. – A 911 call reported a motor vehicle crash that occurred at Russell’s Garden Center, 397 Boston Post Road. There were no injuries reported, but both cars were towed to State Road Autobody.
5:44 p.m. – The station received several reports of a tree down on Commonwealth Road. DPW was notified.
Wednesday, July 8
9:35 a.m. – A phone call reported a traffic accident occurred at Donelan’s Market, 177 Commonwealth Road. There were no injuries.
9:54 a.m. — An accident occurred at Boston Post Road at Pelham Island Road involving two motor vehicles.
4:24 p.m. — The station received a report by phone of an interruption in water service in the neighborhood of Rich Valley Road. A water main break was confirmed and the area was taped off.
7:16 p.m. – A call received from Wayland Pack and Ship, 297 Boston Post Road, reported that a wallet had been stolen.
Thursday, July 9
2:32 a.m. – The “Entering Wayland” sign was reported to be damaged; Mass Highway was notified.
6:49 a.m. – A 911 call reported a two-car motor vehicle accident on Boston Post Road near Plain Road.
9:13 a.m. – Report was received of ongoing vandalism to employee vehicles at Blades of Grass, 526 Boston Post Road.
11:44 a.m. – A caller from Garden Path reported a tree was down and blocking the road. DPW removed the tree.
12:26 p.m. – A 911 call reported an accident at Old Sudbury Road and Glezen Lane involving two cars.
3:20 p.m. – A caller from Happy Hollow Road said the wires to the house were down in the driveway. Police confirmed, and the area was taped off; Eversourcce was notified.
4:31 p.m. – A caller from Lake Shore Drive reported that a solicitor riding a Segway failed to provide proper ID. He was described as a 25-year old white male with dark hair, a backward hat and a southern accent. Police advised the individual and the resident as to soliciting rules.
5:48 p.m. – A report was received of a man matching the description of a solicitor involved in the previous incident, sitting in the driveway of a neighboring house. Police confirmed the individual was the same solicitor, and he was advised to leave the area.
Friday, July 10
2:16 a.m. – Police found a deceased raccoon along Old Connecticut Path.
10:39 a.m. – A caller from Jericho Lane reported a tree resting on wires. Eversource was notified.
12:04 p.m. – An employee of Middlesex Bank telephoned to report that a patron appeared to be a target of a possible scam. The responding officer advised the patron how to protect her accounts and personal information.
Saturday, July 11
11:34 a.m. – Police observed and attempted to stop a moped carrying two people on Oak Street and Commonwealth Road; the moped did not have a registration plate, and neither rider was wearing a helmet. The vehicle cut across the grass onto Main Street and could not be further located.
1:05 p.m. – A motor vehicle accident occurred at East Plain and Main streets involving two cars, both of which were towed. One person was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Police provided courtesy transport to a residence in Framingham. The Animal Control Officer was notified to take custody of an aggressive dog involved in the accident.
1:45 p.m. – A motor vehicle crash at Sunrise Assisted Living, 285 Commonwealth Road, was reported. There were no injuries.
4:22 p.m. – A caller from the Town Beach, 27 Parkland Drive, was concerned about a small dog locked inside a car with no owner around. The dog was reunited with the owner, and the owner received education on pet safety.
Sunday, July 12
1:40 p.m. – A caller from Woodland Road near Pine Ridge Road reported a water main break. The Water Department was notified.
Monday, July 13
13:49 a.m. – A call was received from Concord Road concerning a tree resting on wires and then blocking the roadway. Eversource was notified.
1:51 p.m. – A motor vehicle accident was reported on Claypit Hill Road, where a Jeep Wrangler went into a ditch. State Road took possession of the vehicle and one person was transported to Emerson Hospital.
Tuesday, July 14
7:37 p.m. – Following a motor vehicle stop on Boston Post Road at the Post Office, where the driver lacked a proper permit, the vehicle was towed to State Road Autobody.
Wednesday, July 15
8:37 a.m. – A motor vehicle accident occurred at Old Connecticut Path and Pinebrook Road. There were no injuries.
4:05 p.m. – A caller from Wayland High School reported that a vehicle in the parking lot may have been involved in an accident. The information is still under investigation.
Thursday, July 16
2:29 a.m. – Police received a report from Old Sudbury Road of a loose cow walking in the roadway at Sudbury town line. Sudbury Police were notified.
5:18 a.m. – A dead raccoon was found by police on Cochituate Road. Animal Control was notified.
7:50 a.m. – A caller from Rolling Lane concerned the Water Department hitting a gas line. No odor of gas was detected, but National Grid was called to the scene.
2:18 p.m. – A phone call was received from Claypit Hill Road reporting an odor of natural gas. The Fire Department measured no level of gas, but the gas company was notified.
3:50 p.m. – A motor vehicle crash occurred on Commonwealth Avenue and was called in by 911. Two cars were involved, and one person was transported to Emerson Hospital.
Friday, July 17
1:22 p.m. – A resident of Knollwood Lane called to speak to an officer about juveniles on his property the past few nights causing a disturbance.
Saturday, July 18
12:56 a.m. – Police discovered a vehicle with a Maine license plate parked in the Bentley Boston parking lot, 533 Boston Post Road, while a car with Massachusetts plates was found with its trunk propped open with a baseball bat.
6:41 a.m. – A contractor called to report that copper pipes at the job site on Boston Post Road had been cut and stolen.
Sunday, July 19
4:06 p.m. – A 911 caller reported a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Cochituate Road at Pequot Road. There were no injuries reported.
8:48 p.m. – A report came from Stonebridge Road that a tree had fallen across the road. DPW was notified.
