Robert T. “Bob” Lavin, 87, died peacefully at his residence in Cochituate surrounded by his loving family on July 15, 2026

Bob was the beloved husband of 65 years to Dolores A. “Dee” (Trincia) Lavin. Loving father of Kellie LaPierre and her husband Gary of Cochituate, Robert T. “Bob” Lavin, Jr. and his wife Patty of Framingham, and Paula J. Orlandella of Cochituate. Proud “Papa” of Kara (LaPierre) Corrente and her husband Nick of Cochituate and Mark LaPierre and his partner Shelby Gale of Cochituate; Patrick Lavin, Army Specialist Daniel Lavin, and Brian Lavin of Framingham; Olivia (Orlandella) Gundy and her husband Connor of East Falmouth, Peter Orlandella and Joseph Orlandella of Cochituate. Cherished “Papa” of his great-grandchildren James and Charlotte Corrente. He is also survived by his best friend from childhood through life, John Flynn. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Francis J. Lavin, Sr. and Nora M. (O’Hare) Lavin.

Bob joined the family business of Lavin’s Package Store in 1960. Over the years, he enjoyed having worked with his father and four brothers, and eventually his son, daughter, grandsons, and some nieces and nephew

Bob loved his community in Wayland and served as a member of the Park and Recreation Commission for many years. He was a faithful supporter of the many sports teams providing donations and ice. Visitation was July 20 and the Mass of Christian Burial was on July 21.
