The Board of Assessors reorganized and opened its FY27 exemption cycle in a 10-minute August session. The assessing office director reported a continuing “hard push out in the field, collecting growth,” and said fiscal year 2027 exemption applications have been posted online and mailed to prior participants. The board entered executive session to take up eight Appellate Tax Board dockets — seven FY2026 filings from NP Wayland LLC, BOS Retail 1 LLC and Comref Oxbow LLC involving Boston Post Road and Andrew Avenue properties, and one FY2027 personal-property case from Level 3 Communications LLC. Next meeting: Sept. 14.
