Susan S. Foley of Wayland and South Orleans, died on July 21, 2026, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John J. Foley, MD; her three children, John, Christopher and Mary Kathryn; her granddaughter Madeline; and her brothers Jack and Gregory Sheehan and sisters Karen Mason and Moira Jones.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susan’s memory may be made to The Lower Cape Outreach Council, 19 Brewster Cross Rd, Orleans, MA 02653.
Sue was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and the Radcliffe Seminars Program in Landscape Design. She had a landscape design practice in Wayland and was an active volunteer at the Parmenter Food Pantry and St. Ann’s Church in Wayland prior to her illness. She was an accomplished knitter and gardener, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family, especially on Cape Cod.
