Wayland Planning Board continues Hobbs Road supportive-living hearing to Oct. 21 as chair warns extensions are ending. The board voted 3-0 Wednesday to continue Oak Street Management’s site plan hearing for 1 Hobbs Road (formerly 67A Loker St.), giving applicant Matt O’Connor time to finalize a lease with a nonprofit operator and resubmit a sight-line evaluation for the proposed driveway. Chair Anette S. Lewis offered O’Connor a choice between a firm date or withdrawal without prejudice, saying “we’ve been continuing and continuing and continuing.” The applicant must file a request by Sept. 25 to extend the decision deadline to Oct. 30. Lewis and Vice Chair Robin Borg-stedt said the resubmitted sight-line report must include a diagram showing the stop sign, the posted 25 mph limits on Alden, Hobbs and Loker streets, and realistic 85th-percentile speeds. The board also approved its FY26 annual report and reviewed draft ADU special-permit rules to be numbered Chapter 307.
